Week Nine, Accomplishments

Thesis

After a refreshing meeting with my supervisor on Monday, we came up with a few new ideas I experimented with throughout the week. The results have been a partial refinement of prior results. I plan to spend the next week on fixing up missing points in my thesis so far and create some missing graphics. On the side I will try to come up with a better system to deal with the core problem mathematically. This has been the largest roadblock so far preventing a deep analysis of the configuration.

Language Learning

For Vietnamese I settled on a 2 new words per day frequency and it is working put very nice. The daily review count stays mostly constant (with the expected variations) at about 23 reviews a day. I usually review the deck each morning after getting up and the current deck size fits perfectly. I have to resist the urge to add more then two new items per day because this would inevitably lead to review creep; you don’t want the review sessions really to take more than 10minutes.
